(1)

The 69th meeting took place under brilliant weather of May. LetÕs take a close look at the motorcycles displayed at the Concours DÕelegance.
Velocette Viceroy 250cc (1962)
The Viceroy scooter was under production between 1960 and 1964 and total number of produce is considered no more than 700.
Under its nicely designed body is a 2 stroke twin cylinder engine that claims 15 bhp. Power train is of a lengthy propel shaft that reaches a clutch and transmission units at the rear wheel.
Unlike modern easy scooters, this has a manually operated clutch and a shift lever on the right hand side. Exactly the same as a motorcycle. This can cruise at 65 mph (105 kph).
Low center of gravity is achieved by unique designs such as a petrol tank beneath the leg shields and between the motor and transmission.
It is easy to start the engine with a electric starter activated by a foot switch.
Why donÕt they release this nice Viceroy in this 21st century? Attracted the attendants and won the first prize of the concours.
Honda Super Cub C105, 54cc (1964)
In possession of our famous ÒShogunÓ. This is a 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games special edition sold in limited region and its nick name is ÒBlack CubÓ.
More than 50 years have passed since its first production of C100 in August, 1958.

Initial push rod engines have been modified, upgraded and fine tuned ever since, now being furnished with modern technologies such as a fuel injection.

Many fanatics admit that Super Cub is the king of kings of motorcycles including Honda CB750, Triumph Bonneville, etc.

We Japanese are very proud of this motorcycle with proven design, quality and reputations.

Little Honda PC50, 49cc (1969)

PC50 is a successor to P25 released in 1966, equipped with revolving pedals.

We can observe quite a few differences between P25 and this P50 moped with Belgian origin. 1.2 hp è 1.8 hp
0.25 kgm è 0.28 kgm
30 kph è 50 kph
Thus, price increase from Yen 29,800 to Yen 42,000.
In the same days SS50 costed Yen 60,000.

The owner of P50 put great effort to find this moped for many years.
