History

Asama Meeting Club was founded in 1975 by motorcycle lovers to build a museum of motorcycle and to improve social status of motorcycle. Each member has started savings 3,000 yen per year to build the museum. We've been able to collect 30 million yen in 10 years. In May 1986, at last we've been able to build "Asama Kinenkan", the museum of motorcycle, with Naganohara Town's support. Naganohara Town is famous for "Asama(Mt.Asama) Kazan(volcano) Race", and agreed us to administer the museum together. Naganohara Town runs the museum and our club lends motorcycles for display use. We're replacing motorcycles every year for more interesting museum. So please visit. We are looking forward to seeing you at the museum.

The Activity budget of club is maintained by year fee and meeting fee (2 times a year). A managing officer is a volunteer from our member. There is no salary or boss. Our club is such place where motorcycle lovers have gathered and acted. There are various ways to enjoy our club: lend the well-kept motorcycle for the museum, join the meeting, replace the motorcycles in the museum, clean motorcycles in summer camp, do desk works with motorcycle talk on Friday evening, and other. Asama Meeting Club will go on together with such members.
